How to get from the train station to the bus stop:
Bus Information: Grimsby Riverhead Exchange Stand B , Interconnect Service 51
Get off at Stocks Hill, Ludborough, just past the pub: it's called The Livesey Arms - a red bricked building on your left hand side.
If you choose to walk the rest of the way, (please take care, this is a busy ‘A’ road- there is a grass verge alongside it but but we do not advise walking. Taxi numbers are on the bottom of this page) keep walking in the same direction as the bus, follow the road round to the right as it becomes Lincoln Gate/ A18 and you will see signs for Festival Traffic. This is a rather long walk if you're carrying a lot of stuff, like tents and it is slightly uphill. It takes about 20 minutes to ½ an hour.
Please follow your sat nav until you see Festival Traffic signs - then please follow our signs only to direct you to the festival entrance.
These directions are given for planning purposes only. You may find that construction projects, traffic, weather, or other events may cause conditions to differ from the map results we have used, and you should plan your route accordingly. You must obey all signs or notices regarding your route.
Please read the terms and conditions before applying and complete the application form in full.
Click either "PDF" or "Word" depending on what your computer/phone can read and print it out.
At Equinox we value being able to offer new skills, experiences and introductions to a wide variety of art forms.
Please email email@example.com with an outline of your proposal and how your craft, installation, workshop or walkabout will contribute to our festival-goers experience at Equinox 2018.
For traders, charity stalls, holistic therapies etc please complete the form below and post to the address given or email it to us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Equinox Festival encourages and supports ethical trade- any information about how you trade in this way would be useful to support your application. We are always interested in new and interesting stalls, particularly those selling handmade goods.
Traders using minimal power or renewable energy will be given preference and traders demonstrating reasonable prices will be looked on more favourably.
Closing date for applications is 30th April 2018, late entries may be accepted but will be charged a higher pitch fee.
Equinox Festival aims to provide a relaxed and safe environment where people of many different tribes can gather together. We hope everyone can join in creating this, but if you're found to be upsetting people, you may be asked to leave.
Entry to the site is strictly only allowed between the hours of 10.00am and 10.00pm - this is a condition imposed on us by the Authorities. Outside of these hours you will not be allowed entry to the festival. Anyone arriving outside of these hours may be parked in a holding area until the next day. Please help us by arriving within these times.
Although there is a dedicated Children’s Area -Parents/Guardians are responsible for their children at all times and must not leave their children unattended, including in the arena, at workshops, healing areas, and where there are natural hazards eg ponds and streams.
Glass is a danger to the site, people and wildlife. Any glass found in the arena area may well be confiscated…..along with it's contents!
Currently dogs are allowed at Equinox if a valid ticket has been bought, please help us keep it that way. Your dog may be the best behaved dog in the world but that does not apply to everyone else’s dog. They can be a nuisance when they are running around loose. We have an agreement with a local dog rescue group and any dogs found not on a lead can be collected from there, at your own expense and you will be asked to leave site. Please don't let your dog be the reason that we can't have dogs at Equinox in the future.
If you are seen to be not clearing up after your animal, you will be asked to leave site along with your animal. Please use the bins and help us keep Equinox nice for everybody.
Tents and vehicles are extremely flammable and we don't want anyone to be hurt. Don't have fires inside a tent- you are putting yourself at risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. We have a very lovely dedicated barbecue area for cooking, no fires outside of this area are permitted on site.
We are not trying to control everything but there are some areas of the site where entry is restricted as they are private or we need to ensure people are not disturbed.
Please be as quiet as possible around the family areas and when leaving site to prevent disturbance to local residents.
Any unauthorised persons found in a restricted area may be asked to leave the site.
At Equinox we keep prices reasonable and we have bars on site for the sale of alcohol and several food traders around the site. We do not place any unreasonable restrictions* on visitors from bringing their own food and drink to site, although we'd like you to buy from us… obviously!
Please use alcohol responsibly.
* Personal use only, do not bring alcohol in to sell, anyone found attempting to sell alcohol without written authorisation from Medieval Chemistry Ltd will have the items confiscated and may be asked to leave site. We operate a Challenge 25 policy, if you’re lucky enough to look under 25, you will be asked for ID.
Please leave the site fit for wildlife after you've gone- we aim to leave no trace.
Recycle where possible, We’d appreciate it if you could take your rubbish home with you or drop it off at the local waste and recycling centre. Otherwise please use the bins provided.
Please don't drop litter and please place dog-ends in the sand buckets around the site and ensure they are extinguished.
Please leave your camping area clear of rubbish.
Most of all we want everyone to have a good time. Abiding by the above will help us to ensure everyone enjoys Equinox.See you at Equinox!
Q: Do all under 16’s require a ticket?
A: Yes, under 12’s tickets are free, but they do need a ticket.
Q: Do you do Carer's tickets?
A: Yes, we do, and we have a dedicated mobility camping area - please email email@example.com for an application form.
Q: Beer/ wine/ spirits. Are you allowed to bring your own onto the campsite site or festival grounds?
A: Yes, by all means bring your own (limited to a reasonable amount for your own personal consumption) but there will also be a bar at normal pub prices. NO GLASS PLEASE, ANY GLASS WILL BE CONFISCATED.
Q: Is there anyone who can help with transporting my bags/ tents etc?
A: Sherpas may be available to carry your things for a small fee.
Q: What sort of prices can I expect to pay for tea/coffee, beer, food etc.? Some festivals can be very expensive for this!
A: This is part of the reason why Equinox Festival exists - everything at Equinox will be reasonably priced. High Street prices at most.
Q: What day does the campsite open on? What time?
A: The campsite will be open 10.00am Friday. There is strictly no admittance before this time. We always put up a list of local campsites in the area prior to the festival if you need to break up your journey a bit. There is no holding area for you to park up in until we open, anyone blocking roads or illegally parking will be reported to the authorities.
You are welcome to stay until Midday on Monday, to allow you time to get a decent sleep and some food if needed before you go, we will then be starting to clear up the site.
Q: Can I buy a parking ticket at the gate?
A: Yes, but please buy in advance if you can as this will be easier and also it will be more expensive on the gate.
Q: Can I buy a campervan/caravan ticket at the gate?
A: These will probably sell out in advance. If any remain they will also be more expensive on the gate. Please buy in advance!
Q: Do you have separate camping areas for families and the louder festival goers?
A: There will be a separate family camping area at the top of the field.

A: We’re going to spend all of it creating the best festival in the universe, we don't want to get bigger, we want to get better. :-)
Q: Are barbecues and fires allowed on the campsite?
A: Barbecues can be used in our designated area, as long as they are used safely and do not scorch the land. Do not use fires and barbecues inside the tents! This is not permitted and it can cause carbon-monoxide poisoning - we want you to be safe and enjoy your weekend.
Q: Is it a case of parking your car by your tent or will the car park be separate?
A: Camping will be separate from parking, so a short walk will be required - there may be a Sherpa available to carry your things for a small charge if you're feeling especially tired.
Q: Are drugs legal at Equinox?
A: No. The law of the land applies just as much at Equinox as it does anywhere else! You may be searched on entry, police may be on site.
Q: Do the gates shut at night?

Q: Do you have an online forum anywhere?
A: Yes- it's here! Equinox on Facebook
Q: Can I bring my independent sound system or rig?
A: We are very sorry, but as Equinox is a small family friendly festival with a lot of entertainment and fun things to do at all times, we cannot allow independent sound systems on site.
Q: Can I apply to volunteer at Equinox?
A: Yes, we have applications on our 'Get Involved' section for the various volunteer roles we have available.
If you have any other questions or suggestions for improvement for the website please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
